This month the Barakel staff men are meeting each Thursday, first thing in the morning to pray. A couple of verses and a thought about them are shared, then we pray.
It’s not a lot of time, twenty minutes or so. Then we’re off to the day’s work.
When we stop to pray, I’m reminded that the act of prayer is one of submitting to God’s will. Prayer is also admitting that we need God’s help.
We want the people gathering this weekend for a teen retreat and father/son retreat to encounter the one living and true God.
While God has called us to be faithful in this work, He has also called us to depend on Him in it. So we work. And we pray.
“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” -Luke 18:1
