New MARBC Representative announced

Today’s MARBC Messenger announces Rev. Kenneth E. Floyd of North Park Baptist Church in Grand Rapids as the new State Representative for the Michigan Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Rev. Floyd takes the place of Rev. Maynard Belt who is retiring in October 2006 after faithfully serving the MARBC with his wife Ann for over 16 years. The announcement from Maynard Belt follows…

“After months of searching, and hours of prayer and interviews, the MARBC Council of Fifteen announces the appointment of Rev. Kenneth E. Floyd as the new State Representative of the Michigan Association of Regular Baptist Churches. For the past 13 years Ken and Sharon, well known to our State Fellowship, have pastored the North Park Baptist Church in Grand Rapids. Please be sure to read the October issue of the Baptist Testimony for a resume of their ministry. Their official installation will take place at our upcoming State Conference October 23-24 at the West Cannon Baptist Church in Belmont and they will begin their new ministry on November 1. The Council of Fifteen has asked if Ann and I would assist them in their transition during November and December which we are more than happy to do. We are delighted with the Council’s choice and encourage you to begin even now scheduling them for meetings in your churches and regional association meetings. Thank you for continuing to remember both the Belts and Floyds during this busy time of transition.”

  1. Ah, yes. A BUCKEYE at the head of the Michigan Regular Baptists. You have to love that! Ken will do a powerful good job. His pastor’s heart will embrace the great mitten state.
